What: Nail Art
Who: Yourself
Things You Need:
- Caronia’s Orange Pop Frosted Nail Polish
- Caronia’s Plum Golden Plum Frosted Nail Polish
- San-san Colorless Nail Polish
- Cotton Buds
- Cotton Balls
- Acetone
- Nail Cleaning Tools
- A bit of soap and water (mix them)
Step 1: If you previously applied nail polish on your nails, take them off first. Use the cotton balls and acetone to remove them. Make sure that you leave no mark or color on your nails so that it will not ruin the color of the new one.
Step 2: If your nails are too long, cut a bit of the tip but don’t cut it too short. An ideal shape for your nails is the square cut. This makes your fingers and toes longer and skinny.
Step 3: Clean your nails using your cleaning tools. But only do this if you are not scared of thorough cleaning and know how to do it properly. Be careful not to clean too deep on the sides to avoid getting wounded.
Step 4: Use your soap and water mixture to brush off the dirt and peeled off nail cuticle.
Step 5: Now your nails are ready for application. Choose the desired color as your sort of background for the nail art. In my case, I used the Caronia’s Golden Plum Frosted Nail Polish. Apply properly.
Step 6: After applying the Golden Plum Nail Polish, let it dry for a few minutes.
Step 7: Once your nails are dry, apply San-san Colorless Nail Polish to seal it. If you have a quicky dry colorless nail polish, it would be even better. Using this after your last coating for the first application will enable it to dry quicker than normal.
Step 8: Now that your nail polish “background” is done, the next thing you need to do is to choose the color of your desired nail art. In my case I used Caronia’s Orange Pop Frost Nail Polish. Because this is my (probably yours too) first time to do a self made nail art, I only did circles. Dip your nail art color or desired nail polish color onto its bottle and lightly let the tips of the nail polish brush touch the surface of your nails. Put as many or as less dots as you want.
Step 9: After putting on your nail art in all of your nails, let it dry for a few minutes. Make sure that no strong air will hit your nails to avoid it from producing bubbles that will ruin your design.
Step 10: Once the dots are dry, just like the first process, apply San-san Colorless Nail Polish and let it dry. Once dry, apply your quick dry colorless nail polish again. Do not touch until completely dry.
So there you have it, your very own nail art design!
I know most of you might think that this is hard to achieve without the use of the real nail art supplies. But who says you can’t do it with what you have? Be creative and learn how to do nail art yourself!
